Russ has been training dogs since the early 1980's.
He received his bachelors degree in education and followed it
with Extensive Masters Degree classes in education overseas.
He has been utilizing his teaching education in the dog world ever since.
Russ is very active in the dog world community.
He is the past National Training Director for the
German Shepherd Dog Club of America Working Dog
Association and held that position for over five years.
In the past Russ has served in the capacity of
Executive Director for the United Schutzhund Club of America
and before that was an Executive Board Member
and a Regional Director for five years in the same organization.
Russ is an evaluator for the AKC's Canine Good Citizen Program
and an evaluator for the German Shepherd Dog Club of America
Temperament Test.
He was also in the Schutzhund judges program, and has judged
numerous affiliation trials and protection tournaments.
